Trainee Plant Fitter/Construction Hoist Engineer

Due to Direct Hoist’s continued growth and success, we require a trainee plant fitter/ construction hoist engineer

You will be workshop based at our Kirton in Lindsey Depot, DN21 4JR near Scunthorpe.

You will be joining one of the UK’s leading and fastest growing construction hoist hire companies.

Your primary job role and responsibilities, as part of our construction hoist installation team, will be maintaining our hire fleet of rack and pinion construction hoists and plant machinery.

The successful candidate will require the following skills and experience

• Applicants need to be competent in maths and English.
• Quality focused, show willingness to learn and are team players.
• The role will be workshop based for at least 12 months, but with experience you will need to be willing to go out on-site.
• The roll will be a mixture of on-the-job training and supervision, as well as college-based training (classroom theory work, practical sessions) 
• This role will underpin knowledge, maintenance and basic repairs of the operating systems associated with the various types of machinery and equipment used within the construction industry. It will also expand on the individual’s planning skills, communication skills, awareness of safe working practices and knowledge on the working environment.
